6 pin to 7 blade connector

I have 6 pin plug at the back of the coach and a 7  .pin blade at the front of the tow vehicle.
Picture of the wire is attached.
I just want to get an adapter but when I look on line it seems that the male and female ends are reversed.  Like it is from a vehicle to a trailer

Has anyone had to go from a coach 6 pin to 7 blade tow vehicle pin?

Thanks

I don't think that is possible. You can get 6 contacts out of a 7 pin socket but no way to get 7 contacts out of a 6 pin socket. I added a 7 pin socket to the back of the coach when I set it up for my towed.

I don't think that all 7 of the pins are actually used.  There are probably several blank pin positions.  If that's the case, and you can determine the pin pattern on your toad, it should be easy enough to make your own converter by adding a 7 pin connector to your 6 pin cable.

The hardest expense I had to justify was when someone bought a new to them rv and wanted "no charge or added expense", to hook up to their toad when they drove out.  So much so that I just started writing  offers including the wire to tow at no additional cost. The cost was then expensed to the deal.

The problem is many are not wired according to proper pinouts. (See following link to wireing help), So, it is important you test all the pins on both the rv and the toad, before you do that first connection. When you  get something "new to you" often you are not aware of previous wiring issues and how they were corrected by the previous owner or tech.

U-haul and etrailer.com have many testers and adapters, just remember, best to test before you just plug the rv and toad togeather.  You may be lucky and it works or just blows a fuse.  And yes, I've also seen wiring harnesses destroyed.

Here is a 6 pin tester.

I carry one of these 7 pin blade testers, to test my FT U295 7 pin, plug connector, and used it in the past to help others with wiring problems.

When I had other maintenance that had to be done at a shop. I just had them change the coach over to a 7 blade and a brake controller.

For the first several years we had a 7-to-6 adapter that we used, with a 6-pin cable from the FT to the towed. Either end of the cable plugged into either the FT or the towed. When the last such cable died, we bought a cable with the 7-blade on one end and the 6-pin on the other. I would think that such a cable could be used going your way, too, if that's how things are on your combination.
