How to pour water disinfectant into the fresh water tank

Ok. Getting ready to purify the water system. I bought Camco Spring Fresh Tastepur to put in the fresh water holding tank. All my previous campers had a direct access hole to pour into the tank.  I need to add an entire gallon of the Camco product.
Ideas would be appreciated
Thanks

Pour the recommended amount through your hose.  I usually unreel the hose then pour it down the hose.  When you fill your tank it will push it in.

If you have an external sediment & Carbon filter. You can remove the filters and pour the solution into the empty filter holders. If you don't have any external filters. You should get some.

I built in an external water fill two years ago with a T going to a larger fitting with a screw on cap. I wanted to fill the tank faster than I could with the regular fill valve. I can fill the tank in about 15 minutes now. With the extra fitting, I can add bleach to disinfect the system when I take it out of storage in the spring or if I feel it could just use a little extra cleaning. One of the best and simple mods I have done. I still thank those that went before me for showing the way.

I use a garden hose water filter to add bleach.  Stick it on your hose, fill clear jar with bleach (holds about a cup), turn on water.  EASY

Example below - you can usually find them locally at the big box home improvement stores.

X2 What Larry said.

For adding large quantities of anything to the water tank (OP's original question) a quick fill connection IS very handy.

Search the Forum for several variations on this idea.  My version (below) is simple and cheap - kinda like me.  8)

I have had good luck using tap water only. No filter in line.  Slight chlorine seems to work great.

I assume there is no pressure valve at the water hose hookup. I can just pour it in without pressure?

I use a tagline inline filter use in dripline systems
Amiad Tagline Filters — DripWorks.com
I use the. 3/4" Amiad Tagline 200 Mesh for $19.95. Part number FAMCP34200
You need hose adaptors at each end.  The filter catches most particulates (rust, sand etc).  The bowl screws off and you can put some disinfectant in the bowl, screw it back on and disinfect the hose and water at the same time.
