Tracing down 12 volt light operation in 1995 U300

When we picked up our new to us 1995 U300 in California it had no manuals in it.
When we first turned the puck lights on in the bedroom, the ones on the passenger side worked and the ones on the drivers side didnt.
Now the ones on the drivers side work and the ones on the passenger side don't.
The ones in the front on the passenger side worked at first and now they don't.
A couple of the overhead fluorescents won't come on either. We bought new bulbs but that didn't help.
Thought it might be the ballasts but with the way the others ones are acting it might be a short.
Foretravel emailed me the owners manual but it doesn't have wiring schematics.
Any ideas on what to check?
Thanks, Susan

Sounds like a grounding issue. Does the lamp on the drivers side bed wall work ?? (manual switch on the lamp).

I don't think either lamp works but it's possible one or ther other is a bulb. The light under the bedside cabinet that turns on with the switches above the bed, works on the passenger side but not the drivers.

Then you have loose grounding wire in upper back cabinet....look into the corner (drivers side) and you'll see an end panel with 4 screws...pull that away and next you'll see 3 wires on a small grounding screw, I'll bet that is loose..My 95 had the same issue.

here is my prior post

Rear A/C control panel dead..found the problem
