accumulator water tank pressure help

Ok. I'm ready to put water in the mh for the first time since buying last October. After I add water to the water tank, do I then check air pressure in accumulator or when connected to the city water or? Never owned a RV with an accumulator tank
Thanks

You want to check the pressure in the accumulator before there is any pressure in the system.  So check the accumulator pressure before you hook up to city water to fill the water tank.  Turn one of the cold water faucets on to relieve any residual pressure in the system.  When water stops flowing, then you can check the accumulator pressure.  See link below for more info:

The system has been winterized with air last fall. I'll check the air pressure in the tank 1st, then adjust to 23 psi and add water. That is what I'm getting from this forum correct?

The water has nothing to do with the accumulator tank pressure. There is a rubber bladder inside the tank that holds air pressure. You can pressurize that tank at any time. The bladder will always hold that pressure unless there is a leak

No matter WHAT is in the pipes - antifreeze, water or air, the important thing is to relieve all the pressure on the water system before you check the accumulator pressure.  That way you will get a accurate pressure reading.

All correct answers.

Accumulator pressure is checked with NO PRESSURE ON-- so, shore water off, water pump off and a faucet opened to depressurize the system.

Water tank can be empty or full, doesn't matter.  But pump off, faucet open.

Ok, No water in valve. No air in tank. I pumped up to 28psi and will check tomorrow to see if it holds pressure
