ZipDee awnings have side to side movement

When I push on any of my roller tube awnings left or right, I can move them a couple inches either way in the channel. They are crimped at the ends so they can't fly off. Should I be concerned? or is this normal.

It is the way Foretravel did them. If you call Zip Dee they will send you the screws that they say should be installed when the awning is centered .

My large patio awning moves slightly over time while driving and I have to re-center it about every two years.
I have not noticed the window awnings moving.

When any of our awnings are in the stored position I can move the arms/covers as much as there is slack between the ends fastened to the coach and the arms on the rollers. I periodically do recenter the assemblies so the arms are perpendicular to the coach's horizontals, such as the horizontal lower edges of the windows.

Our awnings have a single screw into the gutter through the fabric that locks the awning from sliding side to side.

Put in a screw,  you may find one up there already.

When awnings are allowed to slide sideways, any awning lock may be harder to lineup to lock, and I guess they could unlock by sliding out from under the lock.

If window awnings do not have locks, order them and install them right away as window awnings are know to fly out at highway speeds in windy weather.  Window awning locks are small versions of the larger patio awning.
