30/50 Amp Extension Cord?

I may plug in at a friends house in AZ this summer and I don't think my shore line will reach an outlet. I doubt the standard Walmart extension cord is adequate for the load I'll be putting on it. Is there a solution? Any advice is welcome!

Get a 12 ga. extension cord up to 100' will work fine. If Walmart doesn't have it, HD does.

Really depends on what (how many amps) you plan to run.  We used a 10 gauge extension cord that was fine for all but A/C.

Have also (better) used a spare 30 amp cord with adapter to coach 50 on female end and to 15 amp on male end.

I use a 30amp RV cord to extend mine. Seems to work fine with the adapter

Thanks guys. After I made this post I did a search and there's lots of info already on the forum. This is a common issue and I'm sorry I didn't search 1st.

I have a spare 50 that was the original power cord.  Put a new end on it.  Run as large a wire as you can for as far as you can.

We carry a ridgid 10 gauge 100' cord and a other one in 12 gauge.  Less power loss from the multi strand high quality ridgid cords.
