Intellitec switch

2008 Nimbus 342 #6459 have some light switch problems. Just replaced bathroom switch recently and it is slow. To start working properly after main battery switch is turned on but will finally function properly. Now the potty switch will only get yellow lights that flicker. Where do I go from here to make sure it is another switch. Foretravel parts is closed is there any other options for parts and programming. Still learning.

I talked to M&M Rv electronics. I can move both bathroom and potty switches to other places and they work fine as does the module. I can pull either the 5 or 6 pin plugs on the c module and use a jumper wire to to supply 12 volts to the white wires and make alllights function properly.  So my conclusion is both the bath and potty wiring is the problem. Any ideas on tracing these out. All plug wires to the switches are stamped 71199. Where do they go from the switches. I can't find in my wiring diagrams any info to track them down. It would make sense it is a bad ground. What should I be able to see voltage at those plugs? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

You have a little newer model than most.. But electrical is the same either way.

With multiplex wiring the lights are controlled by a digital signal which can not be checked for voltage. Could be a chafed wire.

That was second reason I got rid of my 1996 Monaco Sig. none of the remote switches worked. The first was the coolant leaking into the exhaust on the Aqua Hot.

Your 2008 is likely a newer Intellitec multiplex system than the one that is in our 2004 but I have been able to troubleshoot some issues with ours.

Can you post a picture of the Intellitec main controller? Our controller and relay boards are all located under the refrigerator.
Do you have 3 wires going to each switch panel or is it a network CAT cable?

Here are pictures of the controls and the wiring. I checked the voltage on the wiring and it is within specs until I plug a switch in then the voltage on the other plug drops and neither switch will operate. I can move the switches to other outlets and they function properly. All lights will operate properly when the switches are connected at other outlets.

You system looks very similar if not identical to mine.
You say that when you move the not working switch to another wired location, then the switch works. Did you try the inverse of that? Take a switch that works in another location and move it to this location? All the switch panels share the same 3 common wires. 1 power and 2 communications (that is why the are labeled the same). They all go to the IPX Master in your picture.

If a working switch does not work here then it is the wiring or the connector. If a working switch works here then there is something wrong with the switch that was originally here. I had some flaky switches that after I refreshed the programming they have been working fine.

Yes I can move a working switch to either outlet and it will not function properly. I believe it is a wiring problem just don't know how to start the process of tracking it down. Don't know where and how the wires get to a common place . Problem must be somewhere between the outlet and common connection place. Don't know where that place is.. it would be easier if something visible was broken.....

What I have seen on my rig is the circuit from goes from one receptacle to the other. It leaves  the breaker and goes to the
first receptacle then to the next an so on. Hope this helps.

As mentioned the 3 wires are chained together from one switch to the next to the next. Your bad location is either at the end of the line or there is a splice tucked back in the wall beyond the short length of wire hanging out of the wall.

I would check the connectors and wire splices/crimp nuts in the wall. If you think this is the end of the line (no more connected switches past this one) then this last segment of wire could have a problem as well. Look at the direction the wires are heading off to in the wall and find the next closest switch location to check that splice.

I think you are right on with a problem on wiring/connectors. I have been unable to pull enough out to get to the connections or splices. Both switches are on a bedroom/bathroom interior wall. Not sure how to gain access without a saw.

Update and good news!!!! Finally got it traced back to a failed connection under the floor between the refrigerator and sink side of the coach. I fished a new wire under the floor and reconnected and labeled the wires with explanation of what was done for anyone that may have to work in that part in the future. Tremendous learning opportunity of seeing how the system functions. I question why Foretravel would place that wire connection in that area.
