Crapper seal when stored

Quick question, for you guys and gals that park your bus for three months or more.
What do you do if anything for the ball in the toilet, asking for a friend 😁

Mine will keep the seal wet for that amount of time if I fill the toilet with water. I replaced the seal last year as it didn't hold water for 2 days.

Techs recommend not to use Vaseline.  Vaseline and any oil base grease, or oil, will break down the nitrile butadiene rubber in 6 months to a year. There is no suitable substitute for a waterproof plumbers silicone faucet grease for this.  Available at Home Depot fo $2, or on Amazon Prime for $4.  And yes, bbeane, gloves are a must.

I'll sometimes pour in cooking oil then put saran wrap around the top to keep in the moisture.  Just remember to remove the saran before your wife sits down....

Use Tetford toilet seal lubricant, pour about a half inch in and it revitalizes the ring and keeps it sealed, if after a long time it starts to evaporate/ dry out I pour in some RV antifreeze.
This stuff will cure a slightly leaking seal
