HWH Menehune' (tech humor)

My HWH system is possessed.  In Hawaii there are these little munchkins called menehune that come out at night and mess with humans and their stuff....I think they have invaded my coach.

In November, I had my slide bladder replaced at MOT.  Work included replacing the vacuum generator with a higher capacity unit.  Slide works okay, but after the work, the level panel started behaving differently than it ever had in the past.

Before work, when leveling the coach, ignition on, AIR (LEVEL) button once and appropriate up/down keys to get amber LED's out, AIR button a second time to put system into auto mode...LED flashed a few times and came back on steady.  Key off and LED stayed on steady (as well as any amber LED's to show if not level).

After slide bladder work, all other indications same, except when ignition was turned off, all HWH LED's extinguished.  Returned to MOT in Dec to warranty the work and fix whatever they broke, but they could find nothing wrong.  In Mar went to HWH in Moscow to trouble shoot why the change, and they also could find nothing wrong.  WTH?

Yesterday, I replaced the retarder solenoid and ran the engine to air up and raise the coach.  When I finished work, leveled the coach and shut her down.  As I was turning off the ignition, I inadvertently went to ACC position (left of off) for a moment before returning ignition to off, and the HWH panel has magically returned to pre-MOT operation...AIR LED stays on.  WTH?  Did a few more cycles of travel mode to level mode and it's still normal with the ignition off.

I'm not complaining...just scratching my head profusely.  But if I ever truly understand the air system and find all the air leaks on this coach, perhaps it'll be time for a Newell.

Haha!  I went the other way.  From a Newell to a FT.  The FT is much simpler, especially without any slides.  Newell's eat air like candy.  The factory's standard for air loss is the 120 VAC air compressor running every 45 minutes is normal.
