Cabinet Lights

Put lights in the interior compartments on this 270. Another minor Covid improvement. We were just about to leave when the virus hit and have remained homebound since. Like Cool Hand Luke, I'm trying to get my mind right for traveling.

That's just the switch for the lights. It's a little LED indicating the lights are on. I was thinking about installing magnetic switches as I have done elsewhere but decided it was too complicated for this project.

That's a camera perspective issue which makes them appear large. We have different knobs on all the cabinets. The red things are just thread protectors. I usually put them on any exposed threads.

We like it too. I've had three others all of which had the darker walnut wood. The walnut has a richer feel but we really prefer the oak as it just feels much brighter in the coach. Just a matter of personal preference I guess.

I like the cabinet pulls. Been thinking of changing out ours for some that sit a bit more proud of the wood. You can see fingernail poking damage over the last 22 years. Or just get backing plates.

We always change those out. Put the gold deals in a bag and reinstall them when we sell it. I was thinking about dumping this 270 a couple of weeks ago but I decided to hang onto it so those knobs are safe for awhile.

I would prefer something other than polished brass. Yet given that our main use of our coach is to enjoy traveling. I'm mostly not  bothered enough with the original shower/sink fixtures to change them out. (unless we need to replace a failed unit)  And we actually quite like the original fabric used in the valances.

The DW and I are odd that way. we don't bother knocking our home down to the foundation every 5-6 years to rebuild it in the image mandated by some talking head on TV.

Remember, Polyester leisure suits were endorsed by those same types (called fashion designers) in the 70's.

Really like the lights, great job. Two questions:
What lights did you use, the light is great.
Did you tap into wiring behind the removable panel?

I used these LED strips. lights

On the passenger side I found a 12v positive and negative behind the panel where the charger-inverter monitor is.
On the driver side, I used the 12v source that had been one of the 12v lighters in the dash (I had removed it).

We are still reticent to travel so what to do? I ordered some more lights!
