The Atwood water heaters have the "motor aid" option which heats the water with engine coolant while driving. The idea is you have at least warm water after driving for a while. In my experience the water heater still has to run a little before reaching the normal temperature. During winter you may want to close this valve to direct more heat to the dash heater which shares the same water flow circuit. Quote Selected 2 Likes
