More modifications
Well today I installed my new moryde tv mount, led docking lights, basement led install.  Beyond pleased with the LEDs can't wait to get all of them swapped, make it longer boondocking only running battery power.

I do not have electrical system diagrams. That said.
Did you have to check any cb or fuses for docking lights.  If so. Where were they located?

On you year coach the breakers and the relay that operate these lights are hid behind the kick panel just...

It's a 1969 VW Squareback wagon, the docking light are Grote brand led

I just put in LED strips lights, work great.

Ditto.  I replaced the lamps with two high density LED strips.

Amazon sells a direct replacement, or they did when I was looking last year. I decided to retrofit and went with LED.
