HWH has their own -clear- hydraulic fluid. "In an emergency" HWH says Dexron III will work just fine the only significant difference being the red dye in the Dexron. No caveat that I can find about flushing out the Dexron if you do use it for an emergency repair.
Having been present at several HWH leak events I believe all of them exhibited red fluid.

I am not a representative of HWH Corporation so you're on your own when deciding what fluid to use.

Only difference between HWH oil and Dexron is the color.  HWH is clear so if it spills, it won't leave such a mess.

You do not need to flush Dexron out and replace unless color is important to you

Camping world has the HWH brand fluid in stock on shelves. Amazingly it is only three or four dollars a quart where it is almost $20 a quart on Amazon.
