Roof framing plan?

I seem to remember someone posted a framing diagram for the Unicoach roof.  I've searched for it but can't locate.  Anybody know where it can be found?  Thanks.

Thanks but need a plan view showing spacing and orientation of framing members for the 295, 320 etc. roof.

Chuck, here are the roof structure plans for my 2001 36' U320.  It will give you an idea what yours might be like but it is unlikely that as with most things Foretravel, they are not all the same.

A better quality carpenter's stud finder will locate the position and size of the aluminum structure easily.  Steel structure as well. Best to be sure before cutting, drilling, putting in screws etc.

That's it, thank you so much Roger.  I'm noting the stud sensor as well, as a point of pride I have always avoided using one, being  of old school, but recent events have pointed out to me that a stud sensor might not be a bad idea.

How did they locate framing studs "Old School"?  With a divining rod?  :dance:

A strong refrigerator magnet works on the steel in the sidewalls and basement bulkheads but not on the aluminum. Dew in the morning makes the roof framing apparent and the roof slippery .

Chuck (of the Chuck and Jeannie)  the magnets also find drywall screws and nails.  I have a metal detector that I use on reclaimed wood to find hidden metal bits that eat planer blades. It also finds nails and screws in the walls.  Old school ... just tap.  Very different noise where there is a stud.

Stud finder works like in a house. $5? I used one for mounting the solar panels. You can mark exactly where the beams start and end.

For highest accuracy to find roof structure beams, go up on a humid morning and with a magic marker not edges of now visible beams.

We use one of the electronic stud finders that show where metal beam start & ends & displays the middle position. This is one model from a product line:

Foretravel production style is to make many changes during a model year, so one coach's diagram could be different from a similar coach.
