Water pump relay

Just ordered a replacement water pump latching relay from Auto Zone for about $29+ tax with pickup on Wednesday.
The 31 year old part number was SAR 9200
The part number at Advance Auto and Auto Zone is R 3018 (Difference in price? $13 + tax +$10.48 shipping to Advance)
Another possible part number is LN35 or DNI 0127.

For any GV, a Bosch VW latching headlight relay will work as it's the OEM. Asian clones are available for half the price. Relay is on the electric panel with the boost solenoid on ours. It's on the opposite side of the coach on our U300 but may be different on other floorplans.

Lots of photos and sources for the Bosch model and others: vw bug latching headlight relay - Google Search

Guess what I need after our last trip. Some times it too 12 clicks and a trip outside to the wet bay to turn off.
It's where pierce?

On ours, it's under the plastic cover in the wet bay. Not all relays will have the mounting tab so unless you want to make one, try and get an exact replacement. The schematic for ours shows it right next to the water pump but it's on the opposite side. Attached is a photo with twin arrows pointing to it. The schematic is good for replacing the push on connectors as you can match numbers. The latching solenoid will have little numbers next to each terminal.

Don't confuse it with the relay under the isolator on that electrical panel. It's for the AC compressor.

Put the new water pump relay in this afternoon. I mounted it up on the sidewall instead of on the floor under the couch. Now, if that dumbass (no names please) floods the coach again, the water will have to get about 4" up the sidewall!
This relay (from Autozone)has a Duralast #LR623 but now my pump switch lights and the pump work.
This morning tree rat #38 won the trip south to the country.
#39 was here this evening but I guess he wanted to wait until morning to go touring and end up in a new destination  during the day.
