Also when something does not work, "always check the easy stuff first". As in "no 12v circuits working", check the "salesman" 12v cutoff at the entry door. Gen runs, but not putting out 120v, check the breakers on the gen, etc.
So getting back to Svens post, sometimes when given an expensive repair estimate, slow down, question how diagnosis was made, posibly get a second opinion. When I first bought my U295, had intermitant rough running and hard start. To make a long story short, diag from reputable heavy duty truck repair garage, "replace injection pump", very expensive. Luckily I new of a reputable injection pump rebuilder in Portland, sent it to them, their diag, it tested out perfect. Complete fix ended being taken care of after replacing mechanical lift pump and fuel lines.
