LED Puck Light Replacements

I stumbled upon these flush mount LED Puck type replacement lights. 1.7 watt draw, flush clean fit in the factory hole, great light with a 2 year warranty.

Thanks Chuck. Ordered a few,, would have ordered more but I'm not sure if I'm going to like the "warm white " shade. They look perfect so I'm hoping we like em. I'm also wondering if the lite bulb is replaceable, I'm betting it isn't so that could be a down side ??

Some years ago when I put LED into my Puck lights I ordered both "warm white" and "bright white" to compare. The warm white most closely matched the color of the former halogen bulbs. So I went with warm white. I think you will be pleased with your choice.

Honest, I first thought they were a tad bright but iactually I am now very happy with the additional light. I didn't realize how much this old man was struggling to see some of the simplest things in life.

It is one solid sealed unit. So NO the light bulb is not replaceble.

We prefer the whiter light to the warm yellowish. It really helps me with the increased contrast as my eyes age.
But when you replace with leds it's best to get dimmable ones in case the lumens output is too bright. Not all leds are dimmable.

We used ITC LED puck lights with spring clip mounts. Fits in the original holes. 160 lumens, all frosted glass cover. They were about $10 each when we did it, lot more now. 7 or 8 years on them, zero failures. They make a 4.5 inch one too, many more lumens. We used these over the table and added three under the Kitchen cabinets.

Lumens are the amount of light you get out of a light. More light with a dimmer is much more useful in the long run than not enough light to begin with. We prefer the lower Kelvin temp (around 3000Â°) warm white color. Get some of each and try them out. All of out basement lighting if the white/blue 6000Â° color.

There are 2 separate base boards held in with 4 square head screws each. Used the mirror and flashlight to locate them.

Or you could just replace the halogen bulbs with LED bulbs. I replace all of mine with LED bulbs from m4 lighting. They're about $12 a piece I think and look awesome mine are warm White I added three more Puck lights above the cabinets above the driver and passenger seats for a total of 20 Puck lights in the living room kitchen driving area. M4 make great bulbs and will lasts a long time. But if something does happen to him they're replaceable easily. Just if you order from them make sure you get the thin wired ones not the thick ones. your life will be a whole lot easier replacing the bulbs if you get the ones at the thin probes I guess you call them.

The problem though is not only with the light bulb or the fixture ( at least in our case) but the gold trim ring. Most of our 18 puck lights have trim rings that I've had to glue back together. But ... I like em so I just keep putting them back together. Until now perhaps.

If anyone is interested? I have all the old gold puck light plastic trim pieces that I removed and they are in good shape. I also have some brand new Puck light replacement bulbs that I never used & now have no use for them. If you desire, PM me and I will send them your way on me.
