1986 GV - Boost Solenoid and Rocker Switch wiring

We own a 1986 GV, with a Cat 3208T. If anyone has the same or similar vintage,  can you please take a picture of the wiring of the boost solenoid wiring under the steps. Also if possible a picture behind the rocker switch on the dash so I can determine how it was originally wired. My solenoid is stuck open and the wires in the dash are fried. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mike  ----  Do you have a wiring diagram for your rig?  I dont think that a picture would help much and it sounds like you have some wiring to replace.  Have a great day  ----  Fritz

If I remember correctly on your coach the red and black wires had diodes on them. One came from the house battery and the other is from the chassis battery. The diodes were to keep the batteries isolated. In other words either battery could provide power to activate the solenoid. The problem is that you have 2  8d batteries and if there is a large difference in the voltage of the batteries it would destroy the diodes. Not the best system. I think that the blue wire is what sends 12 volts to the boost solenoid mounted by the batteries. It has been quite a few years since I worked on those years of coaches but believe that is right.
