One of the best features is the rapid loss warning  I had a spike in a rear tag tire.  They were heated up after driving several hours in the Texas summer.  When the alarm sounded I began looking for a place to pull over.  By the time I found a spot the tire was a still over the set pressure but it was losing air quickly.  I was able to get to a safe place and park before it got much below "normal" pressure.  I'm a believer.
I had about side duel blowout on a SOB coach prior to our FT will not be without them!! took Me 2 weeks to do repairs.
Just my thought

Took the first trip (400 miles) with the TST system today.  It worked great. As others stated, on the highway, the pressures went up about 10 PSI.  It definitely gives a little peace of mind being able to watch the pressure and temperatures.
Really like the system!

I too am really happy with the new model. Not only is it much easier to see but it works with so much better. I switched out the flow through sensors on the Jeep to the lightweight ones which are the recommended ones for that type of tire. Also put in the repeater and have had no issues with getting readings from the Jeep. Definitely worth the upgrade price.

I too purchased a set before our 4300 mile trip a couple of weeks ago. Effortless to set up and peace of mind was well worth it. I felt it was the price of a new spare tire I now may never need. I moved the rear sensors back a couple of axles on the display. Looks more normal for me. AAA+++ rating by me. Would definitely repurchase if need again.
