Air Conditioner Height

Can any one tell me if the height on the dimensions of the Air Conditioner is height off the top of the roof, or the total height of the AC? Or is it one and the same?

The difference between "height of the unit" and "total installed height" would be the thickness of the gasket...roughly 1/2 inch when compressed.
