Re: Rebuild Sheppard M100 Steering Box Reply #25 – September 17, 2020, 05:51:48 pm I checked my notes and it is a sector shaft seal kit that is in a milk crate full of my spares. If you are serious about doing it yourself PM me and I will dig it out and sell it for less than 25% of what I paid for it. Quote Selected 1 Likes
Re: Rebuild Sheppard M100 Steering Box Reply #26 – September 17, 2020, 08:30:44 pm Estimate for my rebuild $495. My steering is tight. Sector shaft seal leaks. If valve needed add $100 shaft needed add ? Plus $200 est shipping Wa to Md. $795 off the shelf plus shipping. They guarantee no play in steering box after rebuild. Freightliner dealer quoted about $115 for complete gasket kit. Trying to decide if I want to spend extra dough to save 1 week shipping time and the convenience of pulling and installing box in one shot. Anyone got a core floating around? Quote Selected 1 Likes

Re: Rebuild Sheppard M100 Steering Box Reply #28 – September 17, 2020, 10:21:05 pm This link describes our recent steering gear experience and Reply #28 summarized the finished job. We used Red Head.Seems like no two fixes are the same. I understand two models fit, one with manual relief valves and the other with automatic relief valves. Quote Selected
