Slide manifold 2003 U270

Went camping about a week ago and slide worked as it was supposed to. This week the slide went out just fine but wouldn't come back in when time to leave early due to tropical storm Beta. Yellow light continuously blinked. I noticed the auxiliary pump was running the night before and turned it off (have a cut off switch on it). Turned the auxiliary pump on and it ran (never shut off) but still no solid yellow light. This has happened before (clogged air dryer tube in the globe) so I used the onboard compressor and an air attachment to force air into the slide tank at the drain line and was able to get a solid yellow light and the slide in.

While trouble shooting at home I have a few issues I am trying to pinpoint and resolve: 1) I am hearing what appears to be air leaking at the slide manifold location (see RV pic 2) but haven't located a leak yet. Could this be a valve in one of the relays not closing and allowing air back into the system? 2) I took the air dryer globe off and checked to see that it was not restricted as before and the down tube was clear and I could blow through it. However, when I had the globe off and the auxiliary pump running and holding my finger over the air coming into the globe and would feel air pressure, when I released my finger desiccant came out of the upper portion. It did this a number of times to the tune of about 2 tablespoons. 3) There is air coming out of the bottom of another valve by the air dryer globe. See RV pic 1 with the red line pointing to the location air is coming out.  Not sure what it is called.

I know a lot of issues in this one post but any help would be appreciated.

The bottom valve in pic 1 is the relief valve and is normally open when pump is off to depressurize and unload the pump when it restarts.  With the pump running there should be no air coming out of that port...it definitely needs to be cleaned.

The manifold in pic 2 is the bladder manifold.  It provides pressure or vacuum to the slide bladder seal.  If you hear air there, it is normal if the pump is running and the system is asking for vacuum, as it uses a venturi to create vacuum for the bladder to deflate.  It's not a leak unless you hear air leaking there when the manifold is in bladder inflate mode.

Sounds like the pressure relief valve in pic 1 is your problem to start with.

When was the last time you serviced your air dryer? Sounds like you have desiccant in your system which is not a good thing.

Are you asking about the air dryer with the desiccant or the water trap that has the valve on it?  Or the entire chain?  The relief valve on the water trap was changed about 3 years ago.  The water trap bowl appears to have a white substance on the inside of the glass. I need to take it off and see if I can clean that.

If the pressure relief solenoid on that bowl is not sealing when the aux compressor is running, the compressor will never be able to build pressure.  There is likely debris on the seat of that valve.  I think it is the only NO solenoid valve in the system and we always traveled with a spare, and cleaned/rebuilt the one we replaced with it to then carry as a spare.

Do also check the condition of that bowl for cracking.  It is subjected to significant temperature swings and can develop cracking around the fittings that the valve screws into.

How does the bowl come off to clean it? Do you twist the bowl or the black plastic at the top of the bowl?

The bowl comes off by turning the black ribbed  plastic ring so that it unscrews from the black housing like the lid on a jar.

A quick search of the internet came up wth zero information on the 06F1C00021, but I'm sure if you contact Parker they can help you.

Well took the solenoid apart and cleaned everything, replaced it and still passing air with the compressor running. So guess will have to buy a new one. Thanks for all the help. There is also a great write up on this part and overhauling it when I searched for the part number RAP6354.
