Need help with Aquahot

Tried to fire up the Aquahot this morning and couldn't get it to light.  Pulled the cover off to begin troubleshooting and noticed what appears to be a fuel bowl to the right of the circulation pumps.  Unfortunately, that item isn't shown in any service or operators manual that I have looked at.  There are hoses attached at each end, but the bowl is only half full so no fuel appears to be reaching the second hose.

questions:
1.  What is it?
2.  Is it normal to be half full?

Appreciate the help!

ULSD kills our old rubber fuel lines.  Are yours original?

That is your fuel filter.  Mine does not always show full and honestly I am not sure if I have ever seen it full.  I would think if it was full it would mean it is clogged.

Did the light on the switch turn off?  Did you hear the blower run?  How long since it was serviced?  How long since it was run and did it run properly?

Rudy will be along soon to provide expert assistance, my advice is amateur at best.

How low is your fuel tank? below 1/4 to 1/3 generator and Aqua Hot lose fuel.

I had that fuel filter when I bought my coach but as it is so hard to get at to change I upgraded to a newer style filter.

AH was serviced last fall as far as I know.  Haven't run diesel burner since April.  Fuel gage reflects over 1/2 tank.

Fuel lines were replaced by previous owner

AH needs to be run monthly at a minimum.  I suspect your nozzle has clogged with gelled fuel.  Time for a service, replace nozzle, clean the combustion chamber, check the electrodes, flame detector, etc.

Your reply of not running since April clearly indicates a need for burner service.  Once done, run once per month as others have suggested.  That is once per month, every month, period or you will be back to where you are now.

Hope this helps
