Connecting to 120v shore power?

When I finally get my new-to-us '98 U295 home from MOT, can I plug it into 120v shore power? I currently use a 30-to-15 amp adapter to plug in my Class C rig. Can I go 50 to 15 amp?

Yes. Useful to keep batteries up and refrigerator going if desired.
Easy to trip beaker on that circuit in that mode, won't be able to run even on air conditioner Won't run r

Yes, but as Tim said battery charger to keep batteries up, and run the fridge if yyou like. As long as your batteries are charged when you plug it in.

Depending on which charger/inverter you have you can change the setting to limit the amp draw.  set to 15 amp shore power

Heavy loads may heat up and damage one of the prongs on the 15 amp end.  Some jurisdictions prohibit indoor use of 30 to 15 adaptors like in a show. 

Feel if it's getting hot and examine it after some use.

I melted one aftef three days in mild weather running an a roof air off of a 20 amp 110 volt circuit.

If you are in an area of the country with high lighting. You may want to disconnect physically your coach. Just don't need lighting caused power surges hitting the coach.

Yup, ALWAYS unplug from shore power if a lightening storm is near.  Surge protectors will not protect your system from a direct or near strike.

Some think turning off the in-coach main breaker is enough.  NO.  Lightening can come in on any of the four wires to your coach.

I ask for same question in the forum recently as I only have a 15 amp outlet for my 98 U 320. After investigation I currently have my coach plugged into the 15 amp plug in and have 2 lasko "my heater" ceramic heaters ( 1 each in manibloc and sewage bays) and a  battery minder for the start batteries Plugged into the circuit. It has been a constant -7 Celsius here in Alberta Canada and the breaker is holding without issue. Nothing else is on in the coach including the refrigerator. I also set my inverter ( freedom 25) to 20 amps as well cause it did not have a 15 amp setting
