Re: HELP AC Compressor Adjuster Pulley BROKE

Yikes, I am on the road heading South just before St. Louis and pulled into rest are to sleep. Woke up did my pretrip and found this. The belt was loose before the trip. Tightened appropriately ( not overly) and apparently the adjuster pulley was fatigued. I believe this is only operating AC compressor correct?  Can I continue on and repair further down the road?

I would wonder when that pulley broke.  :o

If it occurred going down the road at highway speed, then was indeed fortunate that the errant components didn't cause any collateral damage.

So I have looked over everything and have not found any obvious damage yet...but I did find the pulley and bearing laying on the rear frame rail. How it stayed there I don't know?  Hoping I dodged a bullet...

A good welder can fix the bracket. Is the bearing froze up?
