HWH air travel system

I have a 1994 36' Grandvilla that I am wanting to restore but I am coming to my wits end with the air suspension system by HWH. and its obvious the previous owner had some problems with it too as there as a few parts that ive found in the rig that go to the system  ie the touch pad some air line..  when I got it it would air itself uo but only for travel mode. unable to get it in any other mode, but at least I could drive it somewhere. not wont even air up. the research I've done seems to be mostly about a system with jacks, mine is not equipped with jacks just air bags. there's a small compressor in the pull out storage bay area "luggage bay", It is near several air lines and has a pressure gauge near by but It does not appear to be functioning and I am uncertain what function it serves as I would think that the air for the suspension comes from the larger supply that also supplie
s the breaks with air. that system works fine. My problem now it that it wont air up the bladders at all now and is unable to be moved as the chassi is sitting on top of the tires now.. PLEASE HELP!

Welcome to the Forum David and Natalie.  We are always happy to have new Grand Villa owners here!

We can certainly help you with the HWH system.  It seems complicated to new owners, but it's not really that hard to understand.

The small 12 volt air compressor in the storage bay is called the HWH Aux Compressor.  It only has one function, and that is to supply air pressure directly to the air bags when you are parked and the HWH system is in "Auto Level" mode.  It is not used when the coach is being driven.  We can help you get it working, eventually, but that is not a high priority right now.

Your coach was drivable, but now it won't air up.  We need to fix THAT problem first.

First question: what do your dash air pressure gauges show when you start the engine?  Do they increase to a certain pressure and then stop there?  Do you hear the air dryer in the engine compartment blow off some pressure (purge) at that point?

Once we know you have good air pressure, then we can move on to finding the problem with the leveling system.

The HWH manual available here under "Media" has an excellent checklist for troubleshooting.
Specifically (in case David doesn't know what HWH Series he has):
