Bose power supply

Our Bose speakers worked fine when we got the coach.  But now when I hit the power button on the remote for power nothing happens.
Because it is bolted in up top it's hard to see where the breakdown is.  Is there a standard way they were set up so I can trace the power. Is there a fuse somewhere.
Thanks

Just posted this in another posting. There is a fuse in the amp under the sofa, which powers it. It Is hard to get to (the fuse) like a ribic cube to get open. have done several in the past.

You might check the other post and ask that person. They have also done it.

BTW, it works on AC, not DC

Mine was working, then not.  Traced it to the surge protector behind the unit.  I forget the name of it but when I googled it I found out it had a lifetime warranty so I called them and they sent a new one for free, 20 years later? ;D  ;D

After fooling with it for a while I got the radio to work but not the cd player or the tv.
The screen on the bose unit does not light up.
So it seems like there is power for the built in radio but not the cd or tv where it was working a while ago.

Wish I'd known...I've had a couple of those crater and I tossed 'em.  Also a shame that Bose doesn't warranty their stuff like that.  Like most of us, my Bose system has slowly deteriorated to being just a nice sounding FM receiver....ate 6 of my favorite CD's too!!!  It will get unceremoniously disassembled to rescue my CDs, and then going straight into a dumpster as soon as I get a round tuit.

I plug into the auxiliary jack on the Bose and play music thru my phone.  You can order a bluetooth auxiliary jack off of Amazon too.

Amazon.com: Mpow BH129 Bluetooth Receiver for Car, Aux Bluetooth Car Adapter...
Not sure how well they work but may try one.!

Mine quit working about 4 years ago.  Right now I just use it as ballast on the driver's side.

Sounds link Panamax.  Not sure if they are the only ones that when a surge takes the surge protector out it kills the power.  This way it keeps what you have plugged into it from getting burned up in the next surge that come thru after the surge gets burned up.

So any idea how the Bose unit is attached in the cabinet?
I'll need to remove it to get it refurbed.
Thanks

There are two parts of the system. The main box is under the couch.  I had mine out when did the wood floor. I want to say it was strapped down with plumbers tape, but maybe thinking of the heater duct. Up in the cabinet over the driver, is a junction box where all the devices are plugged in. I do not remember if that was fastened down or not.

I am going to guess that the main box is where the problem is.

The Bose system was removed by the previous owner and we are looking at putting in a surround sound system in now it's starting to
make sense to me. Thanks

Take the door off, makes it easier, then remove the panelling facia  square drive screws. Once that's off, you will see how it's clamped down with wood. Pretty simple really.

One note, you will need an angle drive for your screw gun, or a small ratchet with the 1/4" square tip, to get the upper screws out of the facia.
