We're back, after 5 month repair job

Repair work is done, we're hoping to start driving it home to Florida tomorrow. We'll probably start posting lots of questions now that we've held off on for the last 5 months.

The story of what happened back in June is on the Facebook page, here: Redirecting...
Bodywork repair was done by Xtreme Paint & Graphics in Nacogdoches, and they did a great job.
Mechanical repairs were done by MOT also in Nac, and everything was paid for by Progressive Insurance.
We will definitely be changing over to an agreed value insurance policy now though, as it was very difficult convincing them to foot the repair bill. Lesson learned!

Glad you got it fixed.  Next year the Covid disaster will be mostly over and you can Go camping.  I bought a 20056 from motorhomes of Texas a couple of months ago.  I have been social distancing getting a Jeep to tow behind it and installing a braking system and tow bar.  Will be finished in a couple of days.

Where did you stay while repairs were made?  You fulltiming or did you go back home waiting for repairs?

Re. who paid for coach repairs after getting hit in a police chase, it was the insurance company. They weren't happy about it, but in the end they paid about 30k, which left me paying the $500 deductible and another few hundred in living expenses while waiting for them to decide what they were going to do. Then of course there's the cost of travel back home to FL, then back again to TX to pick up the coach this week.
We researched how we might get the police or the city to pay something, but dead-ended.

Be careful with what Jeep you choose as a tow-behind. We bought a 2017 Grand Cherokee at the same time we bought the Foretravel. Spent over $2,000 having a tow bar and braking system installed in the Jeep, only to find out that this model Jeep can NOT be towed. Experience the dreaded "death wobble" in the first 300 miles of towing. Five months later when we finally get the coach back and start heading home with it, we had the death wobble twice in the first 100 miles.
There is a fix for the Jeep Cherokees, but not for the Grand Cherokee (model years 2016-2018 at least).
