Is there anyway to verify that the automatic water drain is working. It mentions in the directions that you must have the red light for it to function?
When I press the select nothing happens red light not  illuminated. Air purge works normally

Might the red light only come on if there is water in the system?

Scott,

IIRC on our other coach that had that system I had to jumper the wires going to the water sensor thing to get the red light to come on then the purge would dump fuel into the barf bag. The Dr. has burnt up most of those brain cells from back then so take this for what it cost.

Okay, that kinda was what I was thinking. I'll add in a momentary switch to trip sensor then, would be nice verify easily that it still works. Wasn't sure what it needed.

So if I understand this it gives the red light indicating water then you manually select the purge button. This is tied into the dash indicator also?

DSD,
Can you post an actual Picture of the filter assembly and its location on your coach

So installed momentarily switch to ground sensor so as to verify normal operation and cycle fuel water purge valve And verify shutoff at home instead of on the road. Still need to clean up wiring

Thanks Scott,
They obviously removed it from our coach and just left the controls.

Are you still running this unit Scott, or have you upgraded?  I looked through all of your started threads, and didn't see any other fuel related ones.  Recently had some stumbling while idling, and i know it is my Winn filter unit, like you posted here.  I've replaced the o-rings, and the filter housing is less than 1 year old.  The plastic housings deform and the start to suck air, it's too bad someone hasn't come up with a more robust replacement housing.

I know there is a Parker Racor unit that can replace the Winn unit.  Looks to be over $500 now.....

You always seem to do things the right way, so figured I would see if you have had issues and addressed them.
