Looking to buy a 92 u225

What all should I be looking at for damages or not working I seen where some one was talking about look at the bulk head what is that and what am I looking for and what about the 6 lug wheels am I going to be able to find brake parts and a spare wheel  Thanks in advance

See the Bulkhead thread just above in the yellow section at the top of this sub-forum..  Also do a search.  Many, many entries on the subject.

BULK HEAD problem  is on U280-U300

We have a '92 U255 with the semi monocoque frame and bulkheads.  It's a rear pusher diesel with wedge type air brakes and 6-lug Alcon wheels.
The Cummins 5.9L in-line 6 can be maintained.  The wedge brakes may have a supply issue but I'll deal with that when I need to do so.  The Alison 4-speed? I can always find a used one if need be but I don't abuse the engine or transmission.  The Velvet Ride Torsionaire suspension replacement parts are readily available

All with basically the same design bulkheads.

The exception in diesel Foretravels (no bulkheads) would be ORED (Oshkosh chassis)

Add my FTX with the Hendrickson Motor Coach chassis to the no bulkhead issue with diesel engine. But it is pre '92 which the PO is looking for.

The book that was with my unidimensional 225 said it has a John Deere chassis it's a 5.9 Allison automatic diesel pusher

"Unidimensional" is a rather unusual word to be connected to a motorhome model.  In this case, I'm not clear what OP means.

Book? Look at the coach.  If there's a vertical steel plate behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels, it's a Unihome.  When you lift the pedestal bed you'll also see a 5.9L Cummins driving through an Allison 4-speed.

I'm working on multi-dimensional Time Lord technology because I want a walk in cooler and a steam room off the bath. Yet I want the same outside dimensions.

I grew up watching the BBC children's serial Dr. Who.  Eventually the BBC realized that my generation grew up to watch Dr. Who with their children and made it appealing to adults and children.  The one constant is "It's bigger on the inside . . ."

I think the original poster became caught up in Unihome, Unicoach and Unidimentional which I imagine is a point in space.  Great for parking.

Back on track, though, would a "John Deere" chassis be an Oshkosh?  So this is possible an ORED (Oshkosh Rear Engine Diesel)?

Were the Grand Villa bodies mounted on other than Unihome chassis?  The first Foretravel I looked at with an eye toward purchase was a 1986 ORED FTX.

All "unihomes" were Grand Villas but not all Gv's were Unihomes....

"Unicoach" are bus style flat nose except for a few later models (2003?) GV unicoachs

John Deere sold their RV chassis division to Oshkosh in 1989 and then Oshkosh sold it to Freightliner.

So the original poster may have mis-spoke when he used U225 and meant to say GrandVilla?  He could be looking for a 1992 Grand Villa ORED thereby side-stepping the easily repairable rust damage sometimes found on the U225 Unihome at the expense of weight and storage space?

 4 Shocks ( 1 per wheel)- Oshkosh chassis.
 8 Shocks(2 per wheel) - Foretravel Chassis.

U225 and U240 also 4 shock (1 per wheel).
