Pitman arm mounted to the Red Head!

Went under coach the other day to grease the fittings and notices this from our newly installed Red Head on our coach.  I did not notice how much it was away from the shaft before and just wanted to post a photo and see what others had to say.  We are still here in Mexico, but getting ready to leave and didn't want to take a chance if there is an issue with this.  Please take a look and comment.  Thanks in advance!

That shaft is tapered and if it was torqued to 350 lbs. you are good to go.

Joe,

At one time that area had a rubber boot to deflect junk away from this area.

Red Head was supposed to ship me that boot, but didn't so I reused the old one.

It came with a rubber boot and they had it in hand to install, not sure if it is just behind the large heavy metal flange the Red Head is mounted too!  The original seal was destroyed when they put the heat to the arm!
