Aqua Hot Hoses

Good morning,
I had my aquahot system and water system professionally winterized last year. I am in the process of de-winterizing the system as
learned from this site and have a question about the hoses pictured.
Can anyone advise if the red shutoff valve in the closed position should be opened to allow fluid from both hoses together?? OR should I LEAVE THIS AS IT IS PICTURED.  I am unware if the tech changed these for the winterization.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Looking at the picture I would think one line would be cold water into the aquahot and hot water out of the aquahot.  So yes that valve should be closed.  If left open it would allow the hot and cold water to mix, possibly some of it bypassing the aquahot.  You'd notice that on your first shower.

As per Forest, that valve is always closed.
