bedroom drawer

My bottom drawer in the bedroom is stuck shut. Anyone had this problem? What is the solution to open.

Thanks in advance

You might try removing the drawer above it so you can see if something in the bottom drawer is blocking it from opening.

This happens to me occasionally.  If you get anything wedged between the drawer and cabinet (like any fabric), the push-up latch under the front lip of the drawer can be very difficult to push up sufficiently to unlatch completely.  Like it's broken.  No idea if your drawers are latched the same, but give it a whirl.  Push up on the release with a firm object, like a handle of a spoon, etc.  W.

Thanks. I'll see what I find. The drawer should be empty. Who knows, I might have a treasure in there unbeknownst to me.

Does your drawer have a spring steel latch (in the center of the bottom face of the drawer) that you lift up with one finger to release?

If so, I had some of those on our coach that got bent slightly out of shape to where i could not lift up on them far enough to release the drawer.  I had to get down on the floor with a flashlight and long shaft slim blade screwdriver, and using the screwdriver blade I was able to lift up on the latch enough to release it.

If the drawer opens, you can pull it all the way out, flip it over, remove the steel latch from the bottom, and try to bend it back to proper shape.  If that doesn't work, replace it with a different type of latching device.

Thanks Chuck. It seems like it does, but my memory isn't what I would like it to be and the coach is in storage. I hope to make it there the first of the week when the rain has moved on. I'll be looking then.

thanks again,

We used the drawer before so unfortunately no diamonds to be found I'm sure. But I have been missing a favorite jacket for some time.  HMMMMM.
