Wiring diagram for step contol

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the step. The step won't stay down when the door is closed with ignition off.

You didn't reverse the airlines at the Norgren valve did you?

No I thought I might have and when I reversed them it worked backwards.

If you unplug the Norgren solenoid coil and the step still doesn't stay down, then the valve is the likely culprit.

The valve may just need to be disassembled and cleaned/lubed... the original grease has probably dried-out, causing the spool and/or servo piston to stick. I used CRC silicone on ours ...sparingly. Disassemble (no need to remove the seals from the spool or piston), wash with soapy water, dry with compressed air, lube and assemble. That should get it working. YMMV

Greg it's a new valve and the step opens and closes with the door opening and closing. It acts like the ignition switch is on. I'm
trying to figger out how it is wired. When I was wiring the new plug I shorted out the wires. I had to replace the magnetic switch
so I assumed that when I shorted out the wire I burnt out the magnetic switch and maybe something else. This is why need a
wiring diagram.

I'll look at my prints tomorrow. If I have the drawing I'll scan and post it.

Edit: The door switch likely feeds from a relay that closes when the ignition is on. Maybe that relay fused closed when the line was shorted.

T-Man, That looks like the wiring diagram for a Kwikee step. Our steps are a lot different.

Heading down to the shop now. I should have the correct drawing posted before leaving for horse training. (if I have that one)

Here's the only drawings I have for the fold down step. Not what I was hoping for, but better than nothing?

See Breaker #12 TV RLY Step, and wire C11.

From our old step writeup, looks like the magnetic door switch will have 12v with ignition off, when it should not.

As it is raining it was a good time to go over what Greg and T-Man sent me and I need Drawing A 5209.  The first I did after buying
the coach was to buy the drawings for my coach from Foretravel, but there is a lot missing.
