2006 U336 Nimbus equipment bay cooling.

My 2006 Nimbus is stored in an Morton Building.  I am building a climate  controlled office/ bathroom in the same building with where the Motorhome is stored.  I am currently plugging the Motorhome into a 20 amp ckt to keep the house batteries charge.  I keep the salesman switch off  removing most of the load from the house batteries.

One of the workers plugged a load into the same 20 amp ckt that the motorhome was plugged into.  The breaker tripped and we did not find it until the next day.

We turned the power back on and the motor home started making a clicking noise.  The first place I went was the equipment bay.  It was very hot and the inverter was tripping and restarting.

I discovered the discharged batteries 10V and charged them for a few hours using an external charger and then plugged the coach back in.  No clicking everything seems normal.  Batteries are charging with the inverter and is now on a float charge.

I went back to check out the equipment bay.  It had been left open all night.  There is a cooling fan in that area that pumps air out of the bay through the floor.  That fan was not running and very hot.  There is a thermostat in that bay it was set to 80 degrees.  I set it down to 40 degrees.  I think it is the control for the cooling fan.  The fan did not cool down.  I can hear the contacts open and close when I change the thermostat.

Taking things apart the cooling fan is seized.  It appears the thermostat ckt is not working.  Contacts welded?

Ordered a fan from ebay. Have not diagnosed the thermostat yet.

Has anyone else addressed this same problem.  Is there a relay associated with that thermostat.  It appears the wires to the fan come directory from the thermostat. The wiring diagrams do not show this thermostat or cooling fan.  Of course my coach was a one of a kind prototype for the real Nimbus line.  Any one else have experience with this?

I am plan to tackle the thermostat problem tomorrow.

PS: I need new house batteries I have known that for some time but for now they work for me.

PS: The part number for the Blower has changed Dayton 4C441A cross referenced to Dayton 1TDN6 Round Oem Blower. Purchased from ebay.  Available from Granger, Amazon, Ebay etc

On mine, I don't think I have a relay. The circuit is 120V.

Mine is 120 volt also. I added the crossed reference part number to the end of the first post.

Installed the new blower yesterday.  Perfect fit.  The Thermostat was fine the bay temp was higher than the highest setting on the thermostat.  After the fan ran a while the thermostat it shut down at 80 deg. I set the thermostat to 78 or so.
