HWH troubleshooting assistance

HWH Guidance, please. We parked our '02 U320 on Monday, leveled, extended slides and turned ignition off. Our site is pretty level. We noticed the system was auto leveling, releasing air and aux compressor coming on more often than usual. Today, when we started the rig, the front and rear were already at 120 psi. Normally, when first starting, psi is around 70. Any suggestions to help troubleshoot?

Terri,

This could be the HWH slide seal tank is not being isolated from the front/rear tanks by the tie together valve leaking through. Some coaches have a switch on the dash that will activate this valve to open.  Did by chance this switch got flipped so the tie together valve was told to be open? Check your air prints to see if you have this valve or just a check valve.  If just the check valve then it most likely is the culprit that is leaking through.

Thanks for the suggestion, Mike. No switch on the dash. We'll replace the check valve and see if that resolves the issue.

The air line prints for your coach will be your best friend.  Foretravel made several changes to the air system during those years to accommodate the changes in the HWH slides seals. The HWH compressor isn't made to keep the front/rear main air tanks up and will cause an early failure if it is over worked.
