1993 unihome Start problem

When i go to start the motorhome as soon as i go to start position the dash goes out and nothing happens. But sometimes the dash stays lit but no starter. could this be the starter solenoid? The dash just seams to click and it takes a couple seconds for everything to reset and it does the same thing. and yes the batteries are new and charged. thanks any help would be appreciated.

Also now my Generator will not turn off after starting with the button on the dash or the back of the coach.

Welcome to the ForeForum.

More likely your ignition solenoid if the dash gauges go out.

You don't say what coach you have (might add that in your "signature") but suspect if you flip up the dash you will see the ignition solenoid in front of the driver's area.

EASY to test:

One large lug is directly connected to the chassis battery and should read chassis battery voltage all the time.  If under 12.2 VDC, charge batteries or clean/tighten electrical connections.

The other large lug should rear the same voltage when the ignition switch is on.

Let us know what you find and we can go from there.
