Switches behind drivers dash

Does anyone know what these switches do? They are located at the back of the dash under the drivers window

Those are for those of us who are too cheap to buy a code reader. You turn one on and a light blinks. You write down the number of blinks and look up what it means. One switch reads engine fault codes and the other reads transmission. At one time there may have been a label there to tell you which is which.

You can buy code readers now that simply plug in and tell you what the fault is. Of course, sometimes those explanations don't help much, either, but at least it is a start.

Peter,

The switch that toggles both up and down it changes the engine idle RPM.  Seems like each push changes about 25 RPM.
