Diesel plumbing 2006 Nimbus U336 8KWCAT genset and Hydro-hot.

I am trying to figure out the Diesel plumbing for these two devices.  My coach has the Cat 8KW Power Tech generator and the Hydro Hot system.  Both in the front of the coach near the Diesel tank. 

1. The Fortravel Manual  mentions the Racor R12T Water Separator Diesel filter for the generator.  There is a Fuel Filter on the Genset inside the Power Tech cabinet.  It appears to be a primary filter. Manual calls for (PT)08FFCAT I assume this is a Perkins number.  The engine is a Perkins.  There is a NAPA 3742 installed.

2. The Hydro Hot mentions the same Filter.

There is an unidentified filter in the first Compartment on the driver side.  I have some indication this is for the Hydro Hot.

The problem is I can only find one R12T water separator.  Is this one device servicing both the Gen Set and Hydro Hot?

Trying to sort this stuff out.  The plumbing is very difficult to trace everything is bundled tight and out of sight.

On my 2004, the Aquahot R12T is mounted by the generator blower in the first bay on drivers side. 

The R12T for the generator is mounted to the frame inboard of the steps and it's not easy to see.  I didn't know it was there until it got clogged up and someone asked if I had changed it and pointed it out to me.

There is a second generator filter mounted in front of the generator itself.

Thank You I will have to look again.  I did not examine that area very closely.  The one I found was future back.

I looked every where.  There is not a second R12T water separator.  The one I found is near the entry step.

The only thing I know to do is cut tie wraps and start tugging on fuel lines and trace things out.  They hide this stuff so well it is difficult to know what is what. 

I have not slid the generator out.  This is one of the genset in an enclosed noise compartment.

Try sending a PM to Dick Henry - he also has a 2006 Nimbus and may know.

IIRC slightly older coaches with AquaHots have the AH R12T filter behind first lower door on the driver's side at the side of the generator, and the generator one kind of tucked up by the front axle.

Is this a R12T?  If not, somehow it got changed since I thought that's what is used for the Aquahot /Hydrohot.

Your last post says:

Is the one you found behind the step a R12T?  That would be for the generator.

There is a filter in the lower compartment near the drivers seat.  Not a RT12R but a (Fleet Guard) FF5332.  Maybe some one did a substitution.    ;)  It is front and center near the top of that first compartment.

Installed by Motorhomes of Texas in 2017  This is in the location others have said the RT12R is installed for the Hydro Hot. :-{

I emailed Rudy earlier.  I saw him last week.  He check out my unit and showed me how to service it.  The subject of the water Separator never came up.  I assumed the one by the step was for the Gen Set. 

I may need to cut the tie wraps and trace out the fuel lines to make sure what is what.  I think the Genset is suppose to have a RT12R also.  But it is a power-tech CAT 8kw gen set.  I understand that was only used in a few coaches and has a Perkins Diesel engine.  It is difficult to find information about that Genset anywhere except that some one had one Fail and parts are not available.

With a rod poking a hole through the block made it hard to find parts so the genset was replaced.
