Sliding cupholder in dash

On our U270, the sliding cupholder in the center of the dash slides out when we accelerate and the clip doesnt latch anymore, i previously found a topic about rebuilding it and i cant find it anymore. Can someone help me figure it out?

Omg I hate that damn slider. Anxiously following as we have the same issue in our 01. The plastic "clip" or catch behind the slide-out has a much larger hole warn than it originally did that I think is causing the problem, but I've never seen a "good one" to know what it should look like.

Not all that wander are lost... but I often am.

From that thread, I figured out that the end of the slides is supposed to have some plastic pieces that makes it stiff to move, but after all the years, these parts are gone.

Resolved mine with two layers of flooring underneath drawer. Works well and stays were you leave it. No moving parts and the aluminum oxide on the flooring is tough as nails

On my 03 I replaced the drawer slides with self closing ones.  Not an easy job but did the job.
