ISM 450 fuel filters

Good afternoon everyone,
I'm getting ready to change the fuel filters myself  for the first time.
As far as I know I have two of them, One on the passenger side near the batteries and the other at the back of the engine which is a Fleetguard FS 1212 fuel / water separator.

When I look at BeamAlarm website it states there are three fuel filters. A pre-filter, A primary filter, & secondary filter.

Beams website shows the prefilter as a WINN 300200 .

(Don't know why I am unable to post pics at this time)

Reply 31 and 32 have oring numbers and filter dealer. Having spare screen Orings  is a nice thing. Screen can also be washed out with water and soap.

I have a bag full of the ORings for the screen pre-filter. I change them as needed (not often).  I like the visible screen, it traps all of the flakey algae stuff before it gets to the other filters.  You can see what is there and clean it when needed. 

Tie the upper connect up up out of the way so it doesn't dribble. Catch any spillage in a small bucket.  Do the first one where you have time to don't safely. make your time.  You don't want your first time on the side of the road.

Rinse it out with warm water and soap, rinse really well and do a final rinse with denatured alcohol to get rid of any left over water.  A bit of left over alcohol is not going to hurt anything, water is not so good.  Run the air purge 2 or 3 times then start the engine and run on high idle for three minutes. Check for leaks.  Check again in 15-30 minutes.

Mike referred me to Roger's post from a year ago, and I do not have a prefilter like that.
I just have a fleetguard FS1212 at that location.,
Which I think means my fuel an air purge buttons are unusable at this time.

Sounds like someone has changed out your primary filter (the filter over the batteries) to the FS1212.  Now what is wrong with that is you have 2 of the same micron filters in line with each other.  Said another way the you should have a primary filter that gets the big stuff before it gets to the second filter (the one hid at the butt of the starter motor).  So with the latest info the purge most likely not work if it is the one that was for the 300/200. A lot of coaches that have had the 300/200 replace used a Racor RAC790R30  with the purge/primer  pump that does have a electronic box.
