Parker 3520-016 Receiver dryer

So I just went threw replacing the Parker 3520-016 receiver dryer. They are no longer in production and never found a actual cross reference. I found the 33474 receiver dryer was a good match although a little different. It has a additional 1/4, #4 service port with a check valve in it including a nice cap. Don't use it but doesn't hurt anything either. It also has a  desiccant moisture indicator. Blue for good pink for bad. Not needed, but nice touch. Both inlet and outlets are 3/8 Number 6 lines. Same 12 cu inch capacity and fits in area same as other.  Installed and charged system with no issues. It does come with caps and orings but I used my own new orings. It also came pressurized. So you know no leaks.
33474 crossed to RD 8214C .

I never would of guessed it was going to take the time to find a good replacement. So hours later hopefully it will help someone else.

Changed due to to hi restriction. Verified. Pressure was -20/375. Just noting that if you go look for a Parker 3520-016 everyone will think your crazy. I read Parker has no information. There is no cross reference and was hoping to save someone else like myself hours trying to find a similar part with parts clerks that have difficulties with the correct number let alone the skill to understand what they are looking at. The days of going to the corner parts house and dealing with someone competition are gone. Sir what is the part number or the year and make of your car is all you get today. Hopefully im not ranting to much. If you can come up with a proper formal part number conversion that would be outstanding and beneficial to anyone needing to replace. I was unable too. But i think im real close.

Scott as long as you can find one that fits the hoses and has a place for the
sensor you are fine. The day you could go into a parts person and say you need
something that would work is long gone unless you are really lucky and find some
old person that still knows things.

Yes changing world we live in.  I was really surprised how much time I spent attempting to get something done normally I would not even given much thought to. That was the sole reason to put some new numbers to a old dryer so we can talk numbers that the clerk can do something with. Without it they don't bring much to the table other than a fork.

Old thread I know... would it be beneficial to run two dryers in a row? My dryer is tall and skinny or taller than what was linked.. I'd there a reason not to run two?

What would you gain by running 2 Dryers, other than more restriction? If one fails/ stops up the system fails

Kinda my question. Will it help cooling capacity of the AC?
So back to "is there a benifit to running two vs 1 larger one"?

1. No
2. No
2a If anything 1 larger would be better.

Anyone have a part number for a 2002? Would like a bigger one if possible. Just to help the system

Same one in mine works fine. As long as the system remains closed they don't expire.

By the way, when I replaced mine because Scott talked me into it I found my leak at the condenser fitting behind where the dryer was mounted, allot of oil and dust accumulation over the years. I had been looking since 2019 when we bought the coach. Keep your eyes open. I was reluctant to change the dryer because I knew they don't time out. Scott found his to be plugged up, he cut it open. That's the first time I heard of this. We no longer have a leak. Jim.

Extra added bonus to the dryer I posted is that there is a desiccant condition indicator.. no clue how they got moisture in them, but ive seen it a couple times now on the coaches. Being able to see the condition is a plus for me. When we get home Ill double check its condition.
