Perhaps the storage tube broke off or fell off.

I have read reports on the Forum that Valterra sewer hose end connectors are too big to fit into that storage tube, so perhaps no great loss?

That is correct, Valterra hose ends will not go into the tube.

Since the hole in the bay wall is already cut out, I would think it not too difficult to install a modified (larger diameter) tube that would accept the Valterra fittings.  Use either larger diameter PVC pipe (kinda heavy), or perhaps some aluminum air conditioning ducting (lighter).  Shame not to use the available space under the coach for some purpose.

I believe it is the elbow that is the problem not the diameter of the tube. I am going to experiment with an ABS elbow and see if my end will make the turn.

I have tried to put my tubing through the hole but ends won't fit.  Have been looking at getting a 8" cover and adapting it to 6" sewer and drain pipe.  The tubing on our coach is thickness of sewer and drain it is not Schedule 40.
7" would work but I haven't been able to find a 7" cover.

It sure about being a storage tube. Which way does it have to go except straight back beside the tire?

First is a 90 degree elbow and then it goes across the  coach.
