Third drain valve

So I recently replaced my drain hoses with Valterra EZ Coupler 20-Foot RV Sewer Hose Kit, Universal Sewer Hose
Amazon.com: Valterra EZ Coupler 20-Foot RV Sewer Hose Kit, Universal Sewer... And I installed a new additional blade valve
Amazon.com: Valterra T50 3" Hub x 3" Bay with Cap Valve Assembly,Black:...

Amazon.com: Valterra T1023 ClearView Hose Adapter - 90°: Automotive

Did a prewash before we leave Friday and it worked great except I already have a leak in the middle of the hose. Was so pleased with myself till I saw the stream. What a disappointment. The valve works great. My other issue is I'm unable to store were the old hose was stored, that I can fix. Put a dab of RTV736 red to fix leak

Where did you install the 3rd valve? I want to add one but I don't have much pipe after I remove the old fitting.

We used the Dominator hoses. We have had then for 7 years now, very tough, no leaks.  They compress to about 40" long, easy storage. We have 3 10k sections.

Keith, the 2001 coach has more pipe and room for a third valve.

Keith mine looks almost exactly as Rogers, except his is several hundred percent more primped. I still have dust from Arkansas in that compartment and others.

The third valve is about the best thing you can add to your sewage/waste water operation not only does it give you assurance in case one fails but it is great for flushing the black tank occasionally

If the third valve is leaking it only takes minutes to change the seals.

Lol it will never leak too easy to work on. Belts and suspenders mentality. I like.

With a 2003, verify fitment first and see how much you have to (and can) cut off of the existing waste piping, especially if you intend to leave the dump hose attached and want to close the utility bay door.

What's your plan here Scott?  I too have the Valterra hose and connections and it doesn't fit into the OE hose tube.

Since I have to remove the wet bay panel to get to the fill hose check valve, I'm contemplating adding this third valve to do away with the Thetford adapter I have to use now, which leaks if I don't push against it to make a seal.  PITA.

So i purchased hoses that i won't recommend. But really like the third valve. The hoses i currently own are rolled up and stored in front of the faucet. Still haven made storage tube larger to store hose but will when we return. Just planning on going to a little larger size storage tubing and duplicating what is currently installed

Yes the length is critical. I had 90 degree installed too while fitting. Can close door when hooked up or use without 90

Scott, check out this post:  Sanitation hose

This guy never really explained or showed what this thing does, but it sounds like you can enlarge the opening to make the larger hoses fit the existing tube?

Hey Scott, we just met Lynn and Marilyn Sickle. We are staying at H&G RV Park in their boondocking section. Just wanted to say hello. We are picking up an Incinerator Toilet tomorrow in Little Rock and hopefully will find a place to have it installed. Lynn said you replaced your toilet too. They seem to be a bothersome appliance. Lol.

Check your clearances with a 2003 - we never did a third valve on ours because reports were on that era coach, the bay door couldn't be closed with a hose attached to the third valve.  Not an issue if you don't mind not being able to leave the sewer hose attached, but since we would spend a month or so at one location, we liked to leave the hose set up and grey valve open for laundry.

Marilyn and Lynn are as good as people get IMO. I actually never imagined they made a Incinerator toilet. I'm quite curious how well it ends up working. Hopefully you will post links and install info. I doubt i would redesign to accommodate but it is interesting. I never had one problem with our electronic toilet, but 20 old plastic and electronics were always on my mind. Pure mechanical now!

Storage container for hoses. The Valterra fitting wont fit into standard storage too wide

I have 30 ft of sewer hose, 3 of  these Amazon.com: Valterra D04-0200 Dominator 10' Extension Hose : Everything Else

Usually only need one or two but once in a while all three.

10 ft compresses to 39" and stays there. An end cap at each end seals them up.  Pretty easy to stow at that size.

The length isn't the issue, the diameter is. The Valterra hose ends won't fit into the tube in my coach.

I too have the third valve installed on my unit. It as not hard at all to install. My question though is there is a locked cover on the right side by the black and grey valves exiting to the drivers side tire/airbag location. The cover is square and the hole is round. (see several pics)
Is this another sewer hose exit (or could it be??) With the third valve installed and the right angle adapter put on (required) my hose exits directly out the bottom, resulting in poor flow to the sewage inlet (the hose actually exits and lies on the ground so if the sewage input is higher, I have to raise the hose from time to time to empty.)

The second pic is of someone elses coach but still shows the exit to the right.

Why don't you just open the cover and look inside?  You should be looking down a length of PVC pipe.  Storage tube for sewer hose?
