Re: HWH Slideroom Bladder fills but compressor continues to run

2001 u 320 single axel single slide Living room slide bladder deflates. Aux compressor will run forever but fills the bladder but won't shut off this coinsides with 4 rear air bag being replaced
Bad compressor?
Torn bladder?
Bad check valve?

Do you have gauges on the slide bladder outputs or the compressor output?  Pressure readings may give you a better indicator as to what is going on.

Thanks for the reply Keith my name is Mike  2001 u320 40 ft We do not any idea what the pressure should be? I could get one or two and in stall them. The aux compressor has 2 outputs one to chassis and one to aux I assume the one to aux fills the hwh storage vessel. I did close the hwh valve on the vessel after filling bladder and had some bleed down over a couple hrs.
Is the level system completely seperate from the chassis side or how does it isolate and air up from the engine compressor. We are at our place in Bigfork Mt

The number is 15 lbs.  MOT told me that the newer bladders could be run up to 17 lbs.

Mike, in this picture you can see the pressure gauge on the output of the compressor.  This tells you the pressure in the HWH tank/lines.  My system comes on below 65psi and runs up to 85psi or so.  If yours keeps going, that could be an issue.

As for the slide bladders, I have gauges on the output there too.  I'll try to get pics tonight, but there you can monitor pressure settings and if you turned off the ball valves, you could see if those bleed down.  I have my slide bladders set at 7-8psi.  They seal completely and I figure lower is better for bladder life.  One of mine had a leak and I've "repaired it" for now.  Not looking forward to a replacement job.

ETA: Pic added of slide bladder gauges.

If this coincides with replacing airbags, I would get out there and spray those bags with soapy water while they are under pressure. Make sure that the elbow valve at the top of each bag is not leaking too.

Here are some of the relevant drawings for your coach.

The small HWH compressor will run if the pressure switch closes because of low pressure or because the HWH computer tells it to turn on.

The pressure switch can get stuck, I recently replaced mine although it was more because it was stuck open.

If it is working but the compressor is not making much pressure it will inflate the bladder to 11-15 psi, but will not fill the HWH tank or cause the pressure switch to open.

If you want to turn it off pull the 15 amp fuse that powers the essex relay.
