I didn't put one up. Just asked a question if they are the same on U-320-42?

Ernie,

I'm sorry but I do not understand exactly what you are asking.  Could you be more specific, please?

My entry handle takes 2 attempts to open the door. That handle looks just like the handles on the bay doors. I have a box of new handles and want to swap the entry for a new one.

On a 2003, they are different.  Both are Trimark.

I'll check the parts manuals in the Media section to see if anyone has a file for the 1996-2001 with body parts in there...

I plan on taking the door apart tomorrow. If one fits, it will be installed

Search the forum first on how that door handle/lock mechanism goes together.  I recall it's easy to accidentally separate and can get frustrated trying to reassemble it.

After many years with PI EMS hardwired after transfer switch, we heard of shore problems destroying transfer switch which back fed to gen, so we added a 2nd PI EMS hardwired on shore cable connected to transfer switch.

Ernie,

On my coach, the entry door handle looks just like the bay door handles but it is definitely NOT the same.  In fact, it acts just the opposite.  I just replaced my door handle a couple of weeks ago and discovered this.  I had a couple of spare bay door handles but could not make them work for the entry door.

On the inside of the door, when you pull the handle it pulls downward on the unlatching mechanism.  If you install a bay door handle in the orientation of the entry door handle, when you pull the handle, the mechanism pulls upward.  It would require major modification to make one work where it is not designed to go.

I discovered this after taking the door apart.  I then had to put the door back together while I waited for a proper handle to arrive from FOT.  In fact, FOT initially sent the wrong handle and had to send the proper one in a second shipment.  So when you order a new handle from FOT or whomever be sure they are very clear as to which you need.

I have a box of these and haven't looked closely. I will take them out and examine. Thank you for the insight.

I posted when I adjusted my entry door handle to include pics.
Can't find the post and I have no media.
Manufacturer has pics on website.
Tried searching but could not find it.

All new handles identical and are for the bay doors.

Buy door handles from manufacturer. They had a good customer service & web site to help. How about temporarily mounting handle upside down.

Who is the manufacturer of entry handles? Nothing is printed.

Ours are manufactured by "Tri-Mark".  I went through a bewildering list of door handles on the internet and finally decided to just go with Foretravel parts department, even with the shipping/handling charge.

If it is a PTL door, they have very good phone tech and parts support.

For our 2004, Austin Hardware has the TriMark entry door interior lever. I will say that the new one is now cast metal as opposed to the original one being plastic. The screws pulled through the plastic one.

I have not installed the new one yet as it is not a hole for hole dimensional match for the original one. The screw holes match but the locking lever slot/hole is off a little bit. I believe I will have to take off the complete interior door skin to slightly move the slide locking lever bracket to make it work. It always take me a few minutes to make sure of proper "handing" of door hardware.
