Fuel filter

Here's one for the books. My fuel filter is 3391 Napa fuel filter so to make it simple
I went to Napa and bought a couple filters. Went to put it on and it wouldn't screw
on. Turns out the threads are a larger diameter then the one that was on. There is
a screw up somewhere. I will find out on Friday. The new filters are 3391

Look up the specs of the fitted filter for thread size  and filter microns size .
Make sure thaT interchange matches.

I kind of wonder.
Our coach has two fuel filters and in order to keep the micron filtration of each filter in the proper order (coarse then fine) the filters have different thread sizes so this "slightly above average idiot" doesn't put them on wrong.
Maybe yours also?

Went to Napa and returned the filters and gave him the number from the Tech
manual and that filter was a 3386. He has no idea why the difference in the 3391.
The 3391 filter that was on the generator was bought in the States and the new
ones were bought in Canada but I think they should be the same. The 3386 fits.

And, is it the correct micron rating? Shows to be 10 micron with is OK for a primary fuel filter.

Most secondary filters will be finer/smaller micron rating.

DUH!! He was looking for a fuel filter for the generator, NOT the engine.

Sorry, don't see application in the write up.

And, may or may not be correct for the generator.  Check with generator/generator power plant for their specs.

Thanks Wolfe that's great idea. When I go out to Isuzu to get my thermostat I will
check with them and I will pick up a spare filter from them.
