I replaced the bulb in our entry handle last year with an LED bulb from Amazon.  I went with the amber color hoping it would be a little warmer, friendlier, and less clinical looking.  Still puts out lots of light.

I notice the bulb you picked has a BA15S base, while the bulb I picked has a BA9S base.  The number (9 or 15) in the bulb ID refers to the base diameter (in mm) not including the pins.  I measured my old bulb and bought what appeared to be the same diameter base.  My new LED bulb fits perfectly in the socket.  There's no guarantee the old bulb I removed from my handle was actually the original factory installed size.  My bulb socket could have been changed sometime in the past.  I wonder if the lighted entry handles always used the same size bulb, or if it varied from year to year?

Before buying replacement LED bulbs I would recommend carefully measuring the old bulb base, with a micrometer if possible.  It's a little thing - that's true - but might as well get it right the first time.
