tire specs. Reading Bridgestone tire specs for dual tires.

When reading tire specs for Duals do you take the rear axle load and divide it by fore.  Then use that weight to look up the minimum inflation pressure?

I seem to remember a long time ago with Firestone tires the weight specified for the pair of tires.

Bridgestone seems to specify the weight on each tire for the duals.

Also on my coach the outside dual is an Alcoa wheel and the inside wheel is steel.  Is that typical for Fortravel?

i believe that all coaches had all aluminum wheels until 2000.
then the 2001 inner duals were steel. I think?
also, how do crossfire air setups fit into this equation?

I do not have a crossfire setup.  Just two valve stems with a TPS on each stem.  I have been assuming load spec is per tire on the duals. After seeing the firestone spec a would like clarification of the Bridgestone spec.  It is never made clear in the inflation chart.

 I use the cross fire. Works fine . 
Some list the pressures  per tire.  .Use common sense  on the charts .

Divide by 4.

Think for the info.

This is what I understand.

Weight in the table is per tire.
It is ok to raise pressure in the duals ride quality might suffer but likely not. File economy might improve at higher pressure.

Since I do not have side to side pressures run extra pressure in case of weight differences side to side.

One other question. Is it ok to use beads in the tire for balance on alcola wheels?

Beads have been known to cause problems with tire pressure monitoring systems. I don't know if it is all beads or just some brands. If you buy Centramatic's you will not have to worry again about balancing your tires.

Large plastic BBs wont plug up the TPS or valves.  18oz per tire work fine.

Our 99 U270 had a steel inner hub
Believe the 290/320 had both aluminum with the 320 never needing polishing
