Salesman switch

What power sources does the salesman switch control? The one in question is if the salesman's switch turns off all power to the 2 AC rooftop units

The switch cuts 12v power.  The AC units have 12V for the controls and 120V to power the units, without 12 volts the units will not work.  I know the switch does not cut power to the  refrigerator.

You need to look at your B-2126 Automotive Wiring Diagram.  Find the "Manual Coach Batt Disconnect Switch" on the diagram.  Trace the "load" wires to see what loses power when the switch is opened (turned off).

On the B-2126 linked below, for example, you can see which circuit breakers on the left side of the page are powered through the salesman switch.  Additionly, the "12 Volt Coach Interior Fuse Panel" also receives power through the salesman switch.

Note: The B-2126 below may not be correct for your coach.  Check the copy in your owner's manual to be sure.

Blow Chuck's B-2126 above up to blueprint size so you can easily read it. Keep a working copy and one to view with clean hands.

Blow a copy and have it laminated at Office Depot. Only cost a few bucks and then can wipe it off.

Great idea for the lamination. Then roll and store in a mailing tube. I keep ours in one of the overheads. No need to fold!

Right after I bought my coach I order a set of drawings for the computer. I have sent
a few out when someone needed a drawing. It's easy to enlarge them. The best drawing
I had was when I had the Monaco. I could see everything. It worked like Google Map.
I was hoping when I order these they would be like that.

In my coach basement heat is still functional when salesman switch is off. At least if you are plugged in and electric heat is enabled.

Too simple.  We need to establish a Forum Technical Advisory Panel (F-TAP) and, after vigorous analysis and investigation, issue a Formal O-pinion on this matter.  8)

On our 2002 U295 when you switch OFF the salesman switch the items on the left of the breaker bar remain powered up. Cover in storage Bay.

Jim,

Thanks for this information, I never knew about that sub-panel.  I will have to check this out on my coach.  However, in the fourteen years I have owned my Foretravel, I have never had occasion to intentionally turn the salesman switch off.

Richard, I use this switch all the time. There is a substantial amp draw all the time, if I forget to turn something off as I never do  :o this switch allows me to get away with it for awhile. Hence salesman switch. When you take your car to a body shop more times than not you'll be replacing your battery. Jim.
